Are you sending out your resume to Employers and not getting a response? Perhaps your resume needs some upgrading. Here are a few things Employers are looking for in a resume.

Key Words- Make sure your resume has the essential key words of the job that you are applying for. Employers don’t have a lot of time so make it easy on them. Put those key words in there and do your homework. Know the job description before you apply!

Simple- Employers don’t want to read your life story. Keep it simple and easy to read. Employers want a properly formatted resume. Keep the traditional format and style to your resume.

Progression- Try to show your career progression. Each new position title on your resume should show your increased responsibilities. 

Summary- Put your summary at the top of who you are and your experiences and what you are looking for. Employers don’t have a lot of time. Having a brief summary will not only help you grab your readers’ attention but also save them time in reading your resume.

Honest- Keep your resume honest and up front. There is nothing worse than reading a resume and later finding out the candidate exaggerated their skills and experience.
